Ha, es ist schon da, mein Charles-Gundel-Kochbuch. O. k. es ist nicht das Original von 1934, sondern eine adaptierte Version auf English, die die Gundels Söhne Imre und Ferenc überarbeitet haben. Hat mal 550 HUF gekostet. Konnte leider nicht ermitteln, was das in DM damals war.
Der Anfang liest sich schonmal ganz gut:
"If you want to reproduce the authentic flavor of Hungarian dishes you must use real Hungarian lard, green pepper, paprika, tomato and onion. However, this is not always possible."
So werde ich es auch halten. Pörkölt of sirloin probiere ich mal und natürlich gulyás.
